PROBLEM
The gift card market is crowded with platforms that feel cluttered, untrustworthy, or confusing. Users struggle to find specific cards, compare discounts, or complete purchases with confidence, especially when real money is involved.
Key pain points: poor search and filtering, unclear discount communication, lack of trust signals, and slow checkout flows.
Challenge: How do you make purchasing discounted gift cards feel as safe, smooth, and satisfying as shopping at the brands themselves?
SOLUTION
I designed a clean, card-first interface that puts the product front and center. Each listing is visual and scannable discount percentages displayed prominently alongside brand logos and clear pricing.
Navigation was structured around how users shop by brand, category, or discount size reducing cognitive load and helping users find what they need in fewer clicks.
Trust was built into every touchpoint: verified badges, clear refund policies at checkout, and a streamlined payment flow that minimised friction at the most critical moment.
Process
Research & Competitive Analysis
Analysed platforms like Raise, CardCash, and GiftDeals. Interviewed users to understand purchasing behaviour and barriers to trust.
Wireframing
Low-fidelity wireframes mapping core user flows: browsing → product detail → cart → checkout. Tested three homepage layouts before finalising.
Visual Design
Clean, brand-neutral UI palette keeping brand logos as visual focal points. Typography designed for speed and clarity, not decoration.
Handoff
All screens delivered in Figma with component annotations, spacing tokens, and interactive prototypes for the development team.
OUTCOME
The final build delivered a clean, trustworthy experience that directly addressed the friction points users face on competing platforms. The layout made it effortless to browse, filter, and compare gift cards at a glance, removing the confusion that typically kills confidence right before checkout. With a clear visual hierarchy, transparent discount displays, and a streamlined purchase flow, users could complete transactions feeling informed and secure
A gift card platform that finally feels trustworthy clear discounts, zero confusion, and a checkout flow users actually complete with confidence.
